Detector Dog Trials are a graduated series of simulated detector dog searches intended to give a “real life” scenario for dog and handler teams. They are designed to offer challenges at each level to encourage teams to enjoy the sport of scentwork in a safe and constructive environment and to build handler/dog relationships through positive experiences.
